Another 2 points in quick succession from McSorley and Corless meant that Omagh found themselves in total control 1-5 to no score up with 15 minutes played.

Armagh scored the last point of the half to leave the half time score Omagh 1.8 Armagh 0.3.
The second half began with greater intensity as Armagh sought a way back into the game but it was Omagh who came closest to scoring but failed to find the target from several good chances. Armagh moved up a gear and began to dominate around the middle sector for the next 15 minutes and such was their dominance and control that with less than 10 minutes to go found themselves a point behind. Aiden Mc Sorley started to get more involved picking up possession and delivering quality ball inside for Patrick O’Neill and Michael Corless to pick off scores. Armagh battled hard and levelled the game once again. Just when it seemed the game was destined for extra time the game was destined for extra time up popped Aiden Fullerton to kick over the lead point before Padraig McGirr added a further insurance point with time up on the clock.
