38 League Games Conceded So Far
We’re about to enter the real business end of the league and championship season and while most teams are right in the middle of preparation for the challenge ahead it looks like the real danger isn’t going to come from their opponents on the field but rather the lack of an opponent at all.
A quick glance at the six All County league tables shows us that a staggering 38 games have been conceded so far in 2012. Understandably in some cases Division 3 Reserves have seen 18 games unplayed while Division 2 Reserve with 11 and Division 1 Reserve with 6 are the next worst offenders.
The real problem comes at the senior level of both Division 1, 2 and 3. All three Divisions show one game conceded at each level and there’s no doubt that some of these are bound to have an impact on playoff places later in the year.
Is it a case of not enough players due to emigration?
