Mixed News On Injury Front For Tyrone
Justin McMahon took part in an in house game at Clogher on Saturday afternoon and by all accounts did well as he played the entire game. The 2008 All Star full back missed the defeat against Donegal after having to come off in the quarter final against Armagh with a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
Ronan McNabb however didn’t take part in the game in Clogher and must be rated a doubtful starter for the Roscommon game. He failed to make the starting grid against Donegal in the Ulster semi final but did come on in the second half.
One player who isn’t going to feature against the Connaught men is Mickey Murphy. The Galbally midfielder, who was man of the match in this season’s McKenna Cup final win over Derry, suffered a medial ligament injury playing for his club against Derrytresk last week.
He came on at halftime in the quarter final win over Armagh and while he didn’t feature against Donegal he would have no doubt been in the running to see some action at Dr Hyde Park.
Meanwhile Stephen McNulty has left the Tyrone panel. The Clonoe midfielder joined the panel this season but only made one appearance during the National League when coming on as a late substitute in Tyrone’s 2-11 to 0-8 win over Westmeath at Healy Park. He played for the O’Rahillys at the weekend as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a win over Moortown.
